The most original and brightest examples of Egyptomania in Russian literature are, undoubtedly, the writings by M.A.Kuzmin of 1904-1924: poetic/vocal ("Alexandrine Songs" published in printed music, "Sofia" et al.), dramatic-opera-vocal ("A Comedy from Alexandrine Life", "The Grove", "Gul's Stralls") and prosaic ("The Tale of Elevsipp, Told by Himself", "The Feats of Alexander the Great", "Roman Wonders" et al.) The offered repertory belongs mostly to Alexandrine genre and is characterized by peculiar poetics.
