The book comprises the results of the International conference held in February, 2007 at the Russian State Humanitarian University. The articles by the leading Russian and American researchers consider the prospects for studying the bilateral relations, examine the peculiarities of mutual perception and the origins of the long-term American myths about Russia and Russian myths about the USA.
