This book consists of short academic biographies of 209 members of Russian Academy of Sciences (academicians, corresponding members, foreign and honorable members, such as Humboldt, Lagrange, Lomonosov, etc.) whose names, since the day of the foundation of the academy in 1724 and up to the end of 2001, were given to the minor planets of the solar system according to the resolution of International Astronomical Union. Data on the denominated planets and official reports from Minor Planet Circular are also available here.
