The work is dedicated to studying the role of foreign cultural influences in the formation of traditions of artistic metalworking in Dagestan from ancient times to the present day. The edition shows that crafts for processing ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals have been developing in Dagestan since ancient times. The key task of the work was to identify historical contacts that influenced the process of developing a variety of such traditions in the region.
