This book contains two historical documents, whose author Richard Chansellor (?-1556) was Chief Navigator of the English expedition, sent in 1553 to look for the Northern-Eastern seaway to China and occasionally discovered England for Russia and Russia for England. One of the documents is a story of Chansellor about his sailing, written down by the teacher of Royal Pages Clement Adam; the other one is a letter of Chansellor to his uncle Christopher Frontingeim. There he describes his trip to Moscow, receiving by Ivan The Terrible and his observations on the different sides of Russian lifestyle. The book is really unique and contains original material, which will carry the reader away to the world of past heroes and new discoveries.
