Aleksandar Hemon is a Bosnian prosecutor and columnist. He was born in Sarajevo in 1964. He grew up in Sarajevo and began to study literature at the Faculty of Philosophy. The beginning of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina found him in the United States. He decides to stay, settle in Chicago and try to write in English. From these attempts were the stories that made up his first collection Brun's Question.
