This book represents the first attempt of studying the origins, history of development and terrible times of annihilation of the traditional Ukrainian cultures - Kobzarstvo and Bandurnitstvo, that are to the certain extent related to the activities of troubadours. The study is based on the archival and museum documents, historical literary editions, periodicals, statistical analysis and the results of ethnographic expeditions.
