The book is a richly decorated deluxe edition in hardcover with gold lettering and silk ribbon. "Resurrection" is the last major work of Leo Tolstoy, one of the masterpieces of his late work. Tolstoy intended the novel as an exposition of injustice of man-made laws and the hypocrisy of institutionalized church. The book faced much censorship upon publication. The complete and accurate text was not published until 1936. The novel is considered to be the classics of the Russian literature.
