The monograph examines the history of the Research Sector, the task of which was to organize and coordinate the research activities of the institute, to record and monitor the implementation of all research activities of the university. Reflected the main aspects of the organization and functioning of the unit. On the basis of archival sources, the composition, tasks, forms and directions of research activities of the sector, its in the system of research units of the Lviv Polytechnic Institute, participation in the organization and coordination of research activities of the institution in 1944-1978 are highlighted.
