The monograph presents the history of the creation and development of religious beliefs in Tuva. A unique phenomenon of religious syncretism, which arose as a result of the mutual influence and interaction of all autochthonous beliefs with the coming Buddhism, is described. The difficult history of the relationship between the state and religious institutions during the years of the Tuvan People's Republic (1921-1944) and in the 1950-1970s is shown.
