The insurrection of the T.G.Shevchenko Ukrainian kuren' (regiment) of May 1, 1919 which took place in the most important place (soldiers of other units of Kolchak Russian Army joined it), and consequent going across to the Red side greatly influenced the situation at the Eastern front of the Civil war.
