The relevance of studying the phenomenon of reduplication is due to the fact that until now the problems of intra-word doubling have always been actively discussed, both in Russian studies and by researchers from other countries, but mainly on the material of isolating languages (often unusual for Russian and European linguistic consciousness). The study of reduplication in the Russian language, which is agglutinative, is considered a gap (both in theoretical and practical aspects). Intra-word doublings in the Russian language have not been systematically studied, and if they have been studied, then mainly at the level of word formation, i.e., the doubling of affixes was mainly considered. Only recently have works appeared in which reduplication is studied as a lexical phenomenon - on the material of the modern language of the Internet. In addition, the relevance is associated with the need to identify the national and cultural specificity of this phenomenon, since in the Chinese language, which does not have clear boundaries between words, repetitions are hyper-frequent. The phenomenon of reduplication in Chinese, on the contrary, is actively studied, but mainly without comparison with Russian.
