Reading newspaper lines by heart. 1944" is a book prepared by the National Library of Belarus for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the German fascist invaders. It presents the chronology of the liberation of the territory of Belarus in 1944, reflected in Belarusian newspapers. The publication is aimed at preserving historical memory and instilling patriotism.
The book includes materials from newspapers stored in the National Library of Belarus and tells about the events of the liberation from January 1 to July 28, 1944. It is a logical continuation of the project started in January 2024 and is aimed at fostering a sense of patriotism and pride for Belarus.
In the edition "Newspaper lines read with the heart. 1944" presents articles reflecting the joy of liberation, the exploits of the frontline workers and the restoration of peaceful life in Belarus. The book was presented to the Russian delegation at the Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd during the international forum of the Union State "Great Heritage - the Common Future".
