By means of the issue the reader may view the results of radiation monitoring of a number of representatives of the flora and fauna in various ecosystems, conducted by Komi and Ukrainian specialists in the 30-kilometer restricted zone of the Chernobyl NPP. The researchers evaluate radionuclide accumulation processes and data on ecological, genetic, morphological, biochemical, physiological, and hormone changes in the animal and plant organisms in the conditions of radioactive pollution.
