Qingdao-Vienna-Kyiv is a novel by film director Ivan Kanivets, who dedicated his work to the coverage of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921. The novel describes the first Ukrainian military units in the twentieth century, including the Sich Riflemen's Legion, the Galician-Bukovinian Sich Riflemen's Hut, and the First Ukrainian Aviation Detachment.
In the pages of the novel you can meet Yevhen Konovalets, Andriy Melnyk, Simon Petliura and many other people who made their name in the history of the Ukrainian army. From the book you will learn many little-known episodes of the struggle for Kyiv in the winter of 1917-1918.
