The present publication covers one of the most significant and much spoken of strategies of humankind development – purposes and spheres of development at the border of the millennium. The purposes are as follows: cutting down of extreme poverty and hunger; securing of primary education for everyone; securing of gender equality and improvement of women’s status; lowering of infant mortality; improvement of mothers’ health; struggle against the HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; maintaining of ecologic stability; formation of a global partnership for development purpose.
