The book is an outstanding Belarusian ethnographer and folklorist Czeslaw Petkevic is the third part of his monographic study of the distinctive region of Belarus. For a long time it was believed that the text of this book was lost during the Second World War. However, a few years ago, proofreading to print the book was accidentally found in the archive Ethnographic Museum in Torun.
