Every now and then I try to watch one of the feature films or series about the Second World War and the German occupation broadcast by Polish TV. I lose each time, because the trivial and infantile nature of these pictures simply makes reception impossible. Even the titles are hopeless there, the most goofy one is probably the title of the series War Girls, where you can see a group of aspiring, young actresses who demonstrate completely false and inappropriate emotions. It is worse only in productions about the war with the Bolsheviks, because there young actresses pose in scenes of gang rapes, and this is really unbearable. These films, although their producers declare otherwise, have one goal - to discourage people from learning history and to disgust their patriotic attitudes once and for all. Their task is also to hide what the terror of war and the German occupation really was. This book consists of the writings by Major Zbigniew Sujkowski. On its pages, Sujkowski, a scientist, officer, man, described the women of war, not any war girls. He described the scale of their sacrifice and the drama that no film director would dare to show today. There is no chance of that, it is impossible to read this book without tears. And it doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman.
