The monograph studies Udmurt pre-Christian religious monuments – sanctuaries and cemeteries. Chronologically the research covers two periods: the second half of the Ist - the beginning of the IInd milleniums A.D. and XVI - the beginning of the XXth centuries. Spiritual life of ancient inhabitants of Perm' is reconstructed to trace the innovation processes in pagan beliefs of the Udmurts.
