The present research is devoted to studying of ethnodemographic processes on the territory of Eastern Armenia during three historical periods: before joining to the Russian Empire – on the boundary of the XVIIIth and the XIXth centuries; in the first half of the ХIXth century - with disclosing of features of overpopulating processes, ethnic structure and dynamics of the population; in the second half of the XIXth – the beginning of the ХХth centuries – against administrative-territorial transformations and specificity of social and economic development.
