Solozhev Daniil Andreevich, 1908 - 1994, artist and poet. He was born in St. Petersburg in a family of a military doctor-chemist. In 1917 the family moved to Crimea, Kerch, and at the end of the Civil War they left Russia forever. After many wanderings the family of Solozhev settled in Romania. At the end of World War II, the artist and his wife got on compulsory labor in Germany in 1944. In 1945, after Germany’s defeat, Solozhev received a permission to leave for France for a permanent residence. He settled in Lyons, where the artist came into prominence. He was a member of multiple saloons and exhibitions. He was given various rewards and prizes, up to the gold medal.This is his first book published at home. The book is accompanied by reproductions of paintings by the author.
