Babia Platon Huampovich (1935-) is an Abkhaz poet, prose writer, publicist. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR, the Union of Writers of Abkhazia and the Union of Writers of Russia. Honored Worker of Culture of Abkhazia, laureate of the State Prize of Abkhazia named after D.I.Gulia (for the translation of R. Burns's poems). Awarded with the order "Akhdz-Apsha" ("Honor and Glory") III degree of the Republic of Abkhazia. He writes in the Abkhaz language.
