The present issue is comprised of a number of profound research works by noted scholars from Zaporozian State University. It concerns the history of Southern Ukraine in the XVI-XXth centuries. The reader will find here information about the Cossack campaigns against Tatars in 1570-1580, the social-economic and political status of the Old Believers in Kremenchug (the second half of the XVIIIth - the first half of the XIXth century), the migration of Ukrainians and Russians from Bessarabia and Dobruia to the Northern Azov Region and Crimea in 1861-1862 and many other unique facts from the history of Ukraine.
