The book is dedicated to the history of pistol production from 1807 to the present day. It is based on notes from the creator of famous sports and combat pistols V.A. Yarygina. To this publication, the museum's researchers added materials from the museum's collections, significantly expanded the illustrative range, and supplemented the section "Design developments based on the basic pistol" with infographics. The book contains photographs of leading designers and pistol production workers of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant. The museum artist developed the original cover design.
