The handwritten memories and stories of four Estonian pilots. Remi Milk (1918–2011) was an Estonian military pilot in 1939–1941, ranked lieutenant. The book contains memoirs of his studies at the Estonian Military Aviation School in Tallinn on Maarjamae in 1938–1940. The background is a gloomy time: the beginning of World War II and the occupation of the Republic of Estonia by the Soviet Union. The book also contains the diary of Remi Milk's rare forest brother from 1941, which is published for the first time. Karl Lepiman (1929–2006) was destined to be a pilot during the years of Soviet rule. Peeter Murusalu (1946) started as the second pilot in the cockpit of the aircraft An-2 ("jam shelf"). He was an Aeroflot pilot from 1968 to 1986. Peeter Murusalu already finished his flight time as captain of Tu-134A. Raivo Kask (1942), the compiler of this collection, was the captain of Aeroflot and Estonian Air from 1964 to 2006.
