The monograph is devoted to the study of prose texts by Vladimir Kazakov, written in the period from 1965 to 1988. The extremely hybrid prose of this author is viewed through the prism of three categories of knowledge - time, space, language. The absurdity caused by the inability to recognize oneself, to understand one's own existence, is reflected in a number of themes and motives that create a shaky, elusive, purely immanent reality. The unique verbal world of V. Kazakov, hovering on the verge of existence, appears as a product of an auto-dialogue leading the author for the purpose of self-knowledge. The work ultimately reveals that the process of self-knowledge is perceived by V. Kazakov as an attempt to return to the bosom of the world through liberation from the bonds of a rational worldview based on logical thinking. His experience of liberation implies going beyond the limits of consciousness on the other side, into the wide unexplored space of chaos, which hides the potential for the creation of new worlds. The main means of such a breakthrough is a rebellion against an absurd person.
