The offered monograph is prepared by the scholars of Law and Sociology Department of Yakut Academy of Sciences, who interviewed farmers from 5 districts of Yakutia in order to find out their opinion on the current problems of farming, entrepreneurship and of introducing the market mechanisms in the economic system. The work represents the first serious attempt to study difficulties connected with the formation of "the third rural class", that mainly consists of farmers.
