This is the sixteenth issue of “Round Table” meeting held at the Institute of Africa of the Russian Academy of Sciences on September 10, 2009. It was devoted to the peculiarities of the USA, China and European Union policies in Africa in the beginning of the XXIst century. Among its participants were scientists of the Institute of Africa of the Russian Academy of Sciences, executives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and professors of Moscow institutes of higher education.
