Nnenna Ihebom is from Ubakuru Mbieri in Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State in Nigeria. A versatile writer, Nnenna Ihebom's passion for promoting Igbo Language (which has been listed amongst the endangered World Languages in the UNESCO facts book) has led to her writing many of her works in Igbo Language. With her continuous effort at creativity, Ihebom's works have left the ranks of popular fiction to occupy a space in sphere of more serious literature. Her work Odogwu be anyi won the 2007 ANA/Ken nnamani Prize for Igbo Literature. While her work The Web was winner of ANA/Chevron prize for Environmental Writing in 2009. Nnenna Ihebom is one of the emerging female writers of 21st century. ANA is the acronym for Association of Nigerian Authors founded by late Prof Chinua Achebe.
