The monograph is devoted to the church-administrative unit of the Kyiv Orthodox Metropolis of the second half of the 18th century - to the Protopopia of Pyriatyn. The author tried to look at its inhabitants as a local community, united not only by a military-political principle (regimental-hundred system), but also by a religious one. The book examines the space of protopopia, studies the peculiarities of its church administration.
