Dmitry Kapranov and Vitrany Kapranov (Kapranov Brothers) are Ukrainian writers, publishers, publicists and public figures. In 2007, Kapranov initiated the Extraordinary Meeting "Ukraine is a Cultural Disaster Area". The meeting resulted in the proclamation of Ukraine as a cultural disaster zone, and a number of demands and proposals were made to the authorities to improve the situation. In 2007, the Kapranov founded the Golden muzzle award - for first place in the rating of state rudeness and the Golden Collar - for first place in the rating of foreign rudeness (awarded to an embassy or consulate on the results of online voting). Since 2009, the Kapranov Brothers have been the curators of the cultural program of the MEDVIN: Book World fair. On March 21, 2016, the Kapran Brothers presented their new novel, Forget the River.
