The monograph is devoted to anthropological materials obtained during archaeological studies of burial monuments of the kurgan type in the Volga region, the Urals and Western Kazakhstan, dating back to the time within the 36th-22nd centuries BC. The illustrated edition publishes the available materials, mainly craniological ones. The absolute dates obtained during their study, demographic, morphogenetic and genealogical reconstructions are demonstrated; paleopathological and other informative aspects of the life of the ancient population are described; a gallery of sculptural and graphic reconstructions made on the basis of human skulls is provided.
