The settlement of Palashchelye (the Middle Mezen', the Komi Republic) turned into a large center of hand painting in the late XIXth and the early XXth century. The catalogue represents a pioneer attempt in classifying Palashchelye painting basing on the principles of ornamentation of a spinning-wheel. The possessors of the catalogue may also view a wide range of photos of the goods from the collection of Arkhangelsk State Museum of Wooden Architecture and Folk Art "Malye Korely" all supplied with detailed descriptions.
