The research of the history of Chuvash agriculture ranges from the late XIXth century to 1958, i.e., it covers rural economy of the pre-revolutionary, revolutionary and NEP periods, as well as the feat of the Chuvash peasants during the Great Patriotic War, and the development of agriculture after the war till the "victory of socialism".
