The publication was prepared with the blessing of Bishop Pavel of Troitsk and South Uralsk. The purpose of the book is to collect and present information about all churches that have ever existed on the territory of the modern Troitsk diocese: those built before the revolution and demolished in the following decades, those returned to believers and restored, those built anew and those under construction. The book, based on documents from regional and federal archives, museum materials, local history publications, publications in periodicals and the Internet, describes more than 150 churches, including: 75 built before the revolution and demolished during the Soviet era, 25 built in the 18th - early 20th centuries, preserved and recognized as cultural heritage sites or identified cultural heritage sites; 4 old churches, of which only ruins remain; 2 — opened during the Soviet era, 41 — built since the early 1990s (located both in adapted premises and newly erected), as well as nine under construction and two awaiting consecration. The result is a reference publication that briefly outlines the history of each church, presents archival and modern photographs, documents, and pictures of the places where churches once stood.
