The battle of the Belarusian city of Orsha on September 8, 1514 became for the historians of Belarus something like Kulikov Field, saving the motherland from the invaders. In Russia, this battle is hardly known at all, and Russian historians do not cease to repeat that it was only an isolated victory of the troops of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in a losing war with Muscovy. And then, upon closer examination, it turns out that Russian historians, claiming that they make elephants out of flies in Belarus, are trying to hide something really terrible: a real catastrophe of the Muscovite nobility of that sad year for the history of the country.
