The monograph is devoted to the problem of translation of onomastic realities, which act as one of the forms of expression of intertextual relations in artistic discourse. It reveals the content of the concept of "intertextuality", analyzes in detail the ways of expressing intertextual relations in poetic discourse, represented by the poetic works of I. Bachmann, B. Brecht, V. Busch, A.G. Kestner, E. Kestner, K.F. Meyer, O. Roth and T. Storm, examines the forms of existence of onyms in German-language poetry. The translation perspective of the study, that is, the involvement of translations of poetic works of German-speaking authors in the analysis of texts, made it possible to expand the boundaries of the study and identify, through comparative analysis with the involvement of data from structural and statistical research methods, the features of the translation of onyms into Russian.
