The competition between Russian words and the latest borrowings in the discursive practices of the modern Russian language is considered from the standpoint of diachronic synchronism. The functioning of "Angloglobalicisms" in the Russian linguocultural space is interpreted from the point of view of the philosophy of language, axiology, verbal and non-verbal semiotics, lexicography. The sources of the factual material of the research were the Russian National Corpus, foreign language corpora, multi-genre Internet materials, electronic and paper media, data from speech surveys of the Russian-speaking audience.
