The two outstanding scientists K.E.Tsiolkovsky and A.L.Chizhevsky were connected with each other by a frank friendship and affinity of views on many scientific and world outlook questions. They got acquainted in Kaluga in 1914 and were friends for 20 years. Memoirs by Chizhevsky about those meetings and long conversations introduce to the readers a true and a very complicated biography of the “cosmonautics’ father”, as well as his great discoveries, represent his philosophic views and thoughts about the future of mankind on the Earth and in the space as well.
