Anatoly Dimarov (1922-2014) is a famous Ukrainian writer, memoirist, laureate of the Shevchenko Prize (1981). As a child, he survived the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933, fought on the South-Western Front, visited the occupation, commanded a partisan detachment, was wounded. The autobiographical works "On horseback and under horseback" and "The Blue Child" tell about the children of the pre-war years. For several generations of readers have been happy and sad, growing and maturing together with the main character Tolik.
