The monograph is dedicated to the so-called deer-stones – megalithic monuments of the late bronze age and early Scythian period, widespread in the steppes of Eurasia (from Mongolia to the Danube). The author of the publication sums up the results of more than one hundred years of deer-stones research, interpretes the most prominent plots (such as pictures of arms, animals and ornaments) and makes an effort to determine future research perspectives.
