Oleg Olzhych (1907—1943) is a great figure in Ukrainian social and political life, in Ukrainian poetry, and in Ukrainian science.
An outstanding archaeologist with a European name, he spoke nine languages, and his research has not lost its meaning even today. An outstanding poet - he said a new word in Ukrainian literature. A prominent figure of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists — he was an active figure in the construction of the Ukrainian state in the conditions of the Nazi occupation of the territory of Ukraine. In 1943, Oleg Olzhych died in Sachsenhausen concentration camp.
