On the 18th of March 1921 in Riga a peace treaty was concluded to sum up the results of the Soviet Polish War of 1919-1920. The treaty legally assigned the seizure of the ethnic Belarusian and Ukrainian lands by Poland, which from March 1921 till September 1939 belonged to the latter. On the territory of Western Belarus the Polish government conducted the policy of purposeful Polonisation. Collected memoirs by a witness.
