For the first time in relation to North Ossetia, the book presents a study of rear-area processes within the framework of the mobilization economy. It covers a range of measures for reallocating material and labor resources, the activities of party and state authorities, and public organizations operating under wartime conditions. Based on newly declassified archival documents, factory newspaper materials, and expedition records introduced into scholarly circulation for the first time, the book identifies the conditions under which strategic organizational and economic tools were formed. It reconstructs the chronology of defense measures, examines the conversion of enterprises to military production, and analyzes the sources and mechanisms for mobilizing labor resources and public initiatives aimed at supporting the front.
