The edition tells about Nikitinsky excavation in Novgorod. During the excavation scientists explored more than 100 buildings combined into 8-9 layers of medieval buildings of the XIVth - XVth centuries. Archeologists found about 210,000 mass items and more than 6,300 individual ones (including 11 birch-bark manuscripts and 23 seals). The materials on the Nikitinsky excavation complete the picture of life in Novgorod in the XIIIth - XVth centuries.
