The author Lev Nussimbaum (1905 – 1942), who wrote under the names M. Essad Bey and Kurban Said, was a writer and journalist, born in Kiev to a Jewish family. He describes a tragical destiny of the last tsar, the late years of the House of Romanov reign as well as the Russian Empire downfall. The translation from German and firstly published in Russian.
