The book is addressed to lovers of historical prose. In the story "Nesvizh Gold" episodes of the Patriotic War of 1812 are recreated. In the center of the story is the palace of the princely couple Dominic and Theophilia Radziwill, as well as the fate of the Delurges brothers, French cavalrymen of Belarusian origin. Two love stories are also narrated: Marshal Murat and the gentry Dolphina Moravian, Charles Delurg, whose surname in Belarusian sounds like Deryuga, and the peasant Alesi. The essay "Not Only By Arms" tells the story of the count family of the Rumyantsevs. They defended the Russian Empire during the wars, engaged in diplomacy, economic development of the country.
