At the beginning of the 20th century, Germany’s aspiration was to become a dominant state in Europe. The Baltic States were supposed to become a potential area of German dominance. In 1920 – 1940 the community of Germans (consisting of 100 000 people) in Lithuania played a very important role in the political, social and economic life of the country. Since 1933 German youth, sports, religious associations, schools and libraries were promoting the Nazi movement in Lithuania. Analyzing activities of Lithuanian Germans the author made use of publications, contemporary periodicals and archive materials. The book offers an insight into the origins of the Nazi movement in Lithuania, formation of three biggest German Nazi organizations and main reasons which induced the Government of Lithuania to start court proceedings against the Nazi leaders of Klaipeda region. The author made a comparative analysis and presented the differences in German nationalistic activities in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Czechoslovakia.
