Nadezhda is a student of such prominent Belarusian artists as Leonid Shchemelev and Mai Danzig. Composition is the strong side of the artist's work. Knowledge of its laws and the ability to direct the plot requires the release of creative energy in a large format.
A vivid example of large-scale thematic painting by Nadezhda Liventseva was the work “Prayer. 1941" (2010), which can be seen at the exposition of this exhibition. It depicts a kneeling soldier praying in a ruined church in front of a fresco depicting the Virgin and Child. This is a prayer for victory, salvation, for fallen comrades. However, everyone can interpret the picture in their own way, look for harmony in it with their understanding and mood.
