The book of the Belarusian writer, candidate of historical sciences NA Golubeva is dedicated to the outstanding figure in the political history of the USSR and the BSSR, Nadezhda Grekova - Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR, the only woman in the Soviet Union who held such a high post. In the most difficult decade for the republic - from 1938 to 1949, she successfully solved the issues of its development, organizing work on the production of defense products for the front, support for the guerrilla movement in the republic, restoration of the economy as Deputy Chairman of the SNC, Minister of Food Industry, Deputy Supreme Soviet of the USSR of several convocations. The book is also dedicated to the outstanding commander, Chief of Staff of the five fronts, Army General Mikhail Malinin, with whom Nadezhda Grekova was destined in 1943 during the preparation of Operation Bagration to liberate the republic from Nazi invaders. On the basis of a wide source base, archival documents from the personal fund of Joseph Stalin, as well as documents of the "Special Sector", kept under the seal of the highest degree of secrecy, the book attempts to rethink the most dramatic time in Soviet history 1930s - early 1950s.
